The requisite blog, part1

3.19.08
This marks my very first posting as a blogger.
I've used the word "requisite" in my blog title because it seems like you have to have a blog in this day and age, no matter what you do for a living.
Speaking of which, I am a freelance (location) photographer and educator.
My clients include corporations, businesses, associations, non-for-profits and individuals. My work has been published in annual reports, books and magazines.
I have been 100% self-employed since 2002, five years!!!
It looks like I am in this for the long haul.  The prevailing wisdom is if you make it past year five in business, your chances of staying in business grow exponentially.
The "educator" moniker comes from my experience as a teacher, lecturer and trainer. I teach and lecture on photography and related topics.
I am also an inveterate traveller. I have visited over 27 countries on six continents. My most recent travels (in 2007)  were to the major cities in Colombia and the State of Veracruz  in Mexico. I plan on traveling as long as I physically, mentally and financially able to do so.
I also present entertaining and educational travelogues on select destinations I have traveled to.
All for now....
